NAPA VALLEY ADULT EDUCATION POLICIES

No Fees Policy

California Education Code (EC) 52612(a), the Adult Education Office (AEO) has determined that program fees are prohibited for all  learners without a high school diploma or its equivalent, classes in English and citizenship or elementary subjects.

Fees may be charged for Career Technical Education courses.

Refund Policy

  • Refunds will be given only if the refund request is made at least 5 business days prior to the start of the class.  No exceptions.
  • If a class is cancelled by NVAE, a full refund will be granted in the same form of payment for which the class was paid.
  • Refunds for payments made by check may require 3-4 weeks for processing.
  • If a check is returned due to insufficient funds, a $25 fee will be  assessed.
  • Refunds are given as stated above for the CURRENT school year only (July through June).
  • We do not accept cash payments.

Use of Pictures                                                                                                                                               Napa Valley Adult Education reserves the right to photograph facilities, activities, and program participants for potential future use in advertising, catalogs, brochures and our website. All photos will remain the property of Napa Valley Adult Education

Eligibility
Classes are open to all adults (18+ yrs). Children are not permitted in any NVAE class except where they are a part of the setting and with a parent. 

Parking
Please read posted parking signs carefully. On-site parking is available in designated Adult Education Parking lots.

Sexual Harassment
The Governing Board prohibits unlawful sexual harassment of, or by any student or by anyone. The Board encourages and expects a student to report incidents of sexual harassment to any teacher, counselor, or administrator at the school site immediately. Further information is available in the main office or any program office. 

Non-Smoking Policy
Smoking is prohibited by Federal law on all NVUSD property.

Complaints
Uniform complaint procedures and forms are available upon request from each Adult Education teacher and/or the Adult Education office. 

We only serve adults 18 years and older.
