INTRODUCTION TO WELDING FAQ

Q: What will I learn in this class?
A: This course introduces students to the entry-level concepts and techniques used in welding.
Practice basic safety for welding. Students will learn to conduct rudimentary welding
techniques, learn about local training programs such as Napa Valley College, and identify careers
in welding.

Q: What are the prerequisites?
A: All Adult Education students must be 18 years or older. They must be able to read English at
8th grade level or higher, and be able to do math at 8th grade level or higher.

Q: When is the class?
A: The class is offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6pm-8:30pm. Once in the Spring and
again in the Fall.

Q: How do I register?
A: You can register in person at 1600 Lincoln Avenue, Napa, or online at: adulted.nvusd.org.

Q: How much does it cost?
A: The class fee is $20.
