● List 6 Social Media Platforms and describe the characteristics of each
● Understand the legal and ethical standards to follow.
● Apply the basic elements and principles of Art and Design to created works.
● Demonstrate how to take and edit high quality digital photos and short videos.
● Demonstrate how to add text, hashtags, and other features to post on social media
● Develop a Social Media strategy that meets the students’ needs including metrics forsuccess.
● Understand related education and employment opportunities.
● Produce a portfolio of social media content and share with classmates, giving and
receiving constructive feedback.
Q: What are the prerequisites?
A: All Adult Education students must be 18 years or older. Students must have access to a computer or smartphone and reliable internet.
Q: When is the class?
A: The class is offered on Thursdays from 6pm-8:30pm. One evening per week is in person (Thursday) in addition to 2.5 hours of assignments per week
using Canvas (asynchronous). This class is offered 2 times per year, once in the Fall and again in the Spring. Please check our website at adulted.nvusd.org for upcoming classes.
