Karmajit and Connie Just Earned Their U.S. Citizenship!

Karmajit has lived in the United States for 5 years.  She practiced for her citizenship interview at home.  She plans in the future to continue to study English at NVAE.

Connie has lived in the United States for 10 years.  She prepared for her citizenship interview with Rita Martinez in NVAE's Citizenship class last year.  She plans to continue to learn English at NVAE.

Our Staff and Students Supporting Adult Education at our State Capital!

On April 9th, there was an Adult Education Rally on the steps of the of the capitol and in chambers. Inspirational student speakers addressed the crowd. April 10th was Legislative Day and four NVAE students, teacher Melody Blake, and supervisor Shawna Tronconi joined CCAE (California Council for Adult Education) chapter members from other schools to visit representatives to urge them to continue and increase support for Adult Education regionally and statewide. Our students make us proud!
