A: Learn to work as an Instructional Assistant in the Napa Valley Unified School District
(NVUSD). Understand the roles and responsibilities required to assist classroom instructors.

Q: What does this class prepare me to do?
A: You will prepare to work as an Instructional Assistant at NVUSD.
Q: What are the prerequisites?
A: All Adult Education students must be 18 years or older. They must be able to read English at
8th grade level or higher, and be able to do math at 8th grade level or higher.
Q: When is the class?
A: The class is offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6pm-8:30pm. This class is offered 2
times per year, once in the Fall and again in the Spring. Please check our website at adulted.nvusd.org for upcoming classes.

A: The Instructional Assistant class fee is $20. The IA exam is included on the last day of
class.
