Q:Where can can I register for ESL classes?
A: ESL students must register in person and take a placement exam to determine what level is best. ESL classes are offered throughout the year.
Q: When are ESL classes offered?
A:Morning onsite classes are offered Monday thru Thursday, 9:00-11:30 AM and most off-site classes begin at 8:30 and run for 2 or more hours. Additionally, offsite classes onsite meet from 6:00-8:30 PM and at some off-site locations.
Q: How are ESL classes at the main NVAE campus different from off-site classes?
A: Classes at the main campus are leveled; off-site classes are multi-level in the same classroom.
Q: Can I transfer from an off-site class to the main campus?
A: Yes, go to the NVAE main office during office hours and staff will help you register.
Q: I'm looking for a job now, and don't know what shift I will get, can I still register?
A: Yes, you can switch your schedule in the main office when your job hours change.
Q: I will be in the Napa area for for a month. Can I take a quick concentrated English class?
A: Our ESL program is designed primarily for immigrants. NVAE classes are not quick concentrated lessons. They are meant to be taken over at least 9-10 weeks
Q: Can I get a certificate of completion when I complete an ESL Level?
A: Yes.
Q: How much do ESL classes cost?
A: Classes are free.
