Q: What does this class prepare me to do?
A: Our formed JATC (Joint Apprenticeship Training Committee) responsibility is to recruit, train and educate individuals to meet the ever increasing needs of electrical industries in Solano and Napa Counties. We offer technical upgrade classes and extended education classes for apprentices, journeymen and contractors. These classes will allow individual participants to keep current on the most progressive technology for our future electrical needs.

Q: What are the prerequisites?
A: MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS ~ MUST PROVIDE PROOF:
• At least 18 Years of Age (CA Drivers License, Birth Certificate or other Proof of Age)
• High School Graduation or G.E.D. or equivalent (Valid Certificate or Diploma)
• Photo ID (ex: Valid-CA Drivers License)
• Proof of Algebra - Sealed (unopened) Official Transcript with One Full Year (2 semesters) of High School Algebra with passing grade = “C” or better or 1 year post High School Algebra with a passing grade. Pre-Algebra does NOT count.
• A written and oral exam will be given.

A: Applications must be made in person at 720-A Technology Way, Napa, 94558. The next dates for accepting applications are December 9th thru December 13th, of 2024 & January 6th thru January 10th, of 2025. On these dates you may drop off your application materials at the training center from 1 pm to
4:30 pm only. You must bring your completed application, including sealed transcripts and photocopies of all supporting documents. We will not be addressing any individual questions, needs, or considerations at the time of your application.
