My educational journey started by taking evening classes at Solano Community College while working full time. Later, as a transfer student at Sonoma State University, I spent time working for AmeriCorps as a mentor. This experience guided me to pursue school counseling as a career. I have worked as a school counselor in Napa for 15 years. I enjoy helping students achieve their educational and career goals.

My name is Yovana Felix and I am a College and Career Advisor at NVAE. I graduated from Sonoma State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology. I have been working at NVAE for three years. I enjoy working with our students at NVAE and supporting them to reach their goals. I aspire to be a school counselor to continue supporting our students.

I was born and raised in Napa, CA and I am a product of the Napa Valley Unified School District. After graduating high school, I attended Napa Valley College and then transferred to UC Merced. I returned to Napa to work in my community and give back. I aspire to continue my studies, and earn my Master's Degree in School Counseling to continue my work in our community. In my free time, I like to spend time with my family and dance!
