BUILDING & CONSTRUCTION TRADES

The following four classes must be completed to earn a certificate in Introduction to Building and Constructions Trades. Classes can not be taken individually. The total cost of the program is $240. 

Required orientation is on August 21st at Napa Valley Adult Education in room 3 from 5:30-8:30 PM and on August 28th at Calistoga High School from 6:00-9:00 PM.  These will be the only orientations until September 2020. Register for orientation today!

OSHA 10

Learn important safety guidelines to identify, predict, prevent and stop potential hazards in the workplace.

Building & Construction

Learn the essential knowledge and skills that are needed to work in an entry level construction job. Participants will receive classroom instruction and hands-on learning working on construction projects. Prerequisite: OSHA 10

Construction Math

Learn the essential math skills needed to work in an entry level construction job. The class will cover whole numbers, fractions, decimals, and basic principles of geometry.

Building Plan Reading

This course is an introduction to blueprint reading, providing students with the skills to calculate materials, interpret the terminology, as well as identifying components and symbols contained in construction drawings.
