Beginning Microsoft Word

Using a blended learning platform, MindTap, this course is designed to provide the basics of Microsoft (MS) Word 2016. Learn to type a professional business letter, work with proofreading tools, create appropriate report formats, and insert a table in a document.

Intermediate MIcrosoft Word: Mail Merge

Understand mail merge, create a main document, design a data source,  enter and edit records, add merge fields, work with merge rules, merge data, create labels, sort and filter records, add hyperlinks, modify page margins, create paragraph styles, format and customize a theme, insert quick parts, create and insert building blocks, use a document template, and work with PDFs in Word. There are 11 meetings for 36 hours, plus 9 hours of homework for a total of 45 hours of credit.

Intermediate Microsoft Word: Tables

Using Tables: insert, delete, modify, sort, split and merge; perform calculations, table styles, rows and columns; insert and create graphics using Building Blocks, Mail Merge and Quick Parts.

Beginning Microsoft Excel

Using a blended learning platform MindTap, this course provides the basics of Microsoft Excel 2016. Learn to edit worksheets and organize workbooks. Create and modify basic formulas and functions in Excel using cell references and AUTOSUM functions. Students will learn to sort rows, freeze headings, and split worksheets.

Intermediate Excel

Using a blended learning platform MindTap, this course provides the basics of Microsoft Excel 2016. Learn to edit worksheets and organize workbooks. Create and modify basic formulas and functions in Excel using cell references and AUTOSUM functions. Students will learn to sort rows, freeze headings, and split worksheets.

Beginning Microsoft PowerPoint 

Using a blended learning platform,  MindTap, learn about Microsoft PowerPoint 2016. Learn what presentation software is and how you can make your presentations more interesting.

Beginning Google Apps

Learn how your knowledge of other software programs can be easily converted to learning Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, Gmail, Drawing, Calendars and Forms. Students will also learn to share and collaborate on documents using Google.

Beginning Computers

Take your first steps towards learning to use a computer. In this class you will learn how to turn the computer on and off, what the Windows operating system is, and what it can do for you. Learn how to obtain an email account and use it correctly, protecting yourself online, and how to browse the internet. Learn the difference between email, browsers, and search engines.
